Who would?
Even if you see it positively, or negatively, does it mean that it's correct?
The human mind and heart and soul are complex.. yet we as humans, try to decipher it. They use translations, logic, or even a brilliant narrative infused with emotions to try to make sense of a thought or intent. And we impose our own idealism, but sometimes pragmatism, sometimes even with a cycle and framework of consistency to lend weight to it. Many things, seem right, yet to others sometimes seems wrong, and it can always be argued both ways.
This is the complexity of a human and of the human world, that what can seem so good can be inherently so bad, and vice versa. We worship angels and fellowship with demons, we adore the tools of the devil but we attend the house of the saviour.
Humans are like a black box. What goes in inextricably and wonderfully comes out in something fairly unique. The creativity and freedom of the human mind rings a godliness and power about it. Yet that black box can also be so dangerous.
Isn't accepting the light, or God, about letting light into that black box of the human mind? Yet letting such light into it reveals sometimes, things event darker than the world cannot accept. Yet, many prefer the box to remain black than to see the darkness that sits inside each box.
The wilderness, perhaps is within rather than on the outside, just that we are too used to seeing our lives as a kingdom that needs to keep building rather than a box that is corrupted from within. The wilderness is going deep into ourselves and realising the wilderness is inside. And realising that it needs to change, and that sometimes we just need to stop playing the game that the world has constructed for us. Its about finding yourself lost, rather than physically distraught. And if we keep looking inside and not finding the light because the light is outside of our black box, isn't that the irony that we are left searching meaninglessly and aimlessly for something to escape from or something that is a cannot find? But because the depths of our own hearts are sometimes blackened out from our own view, we remain blind and lost.
We will never experience the wilderness in Singapore because that wilderness is no more. Everything in Singapore is curated to be a human crafted genius of splendour and glamour, yet maybe...
We are lost in ourselves and our surroundings. And not enough of us understand the depths of our own little box.
