The World - A Reflection of Self

The War in Gaza. As the world shall remember it.

An aggressor, Hamas, came into their homes and took people away. They took Israel's family and children, refusing to let them go.

Israel, in righteous anger, pushed out a full offensive.

No one knows if it's out of anger, or if it's out of fear for their families. Perhaps it is both.

In some cases. They brought their action a bit too far, just like a parent hits their children for telling a lie. Slapping them hard. A bit too hard sometimes.

Do they feel remorseful? Sure they do. Yet, if they do not react, does this perpetuate the aggressor to do more? Perhaps it would, perhaps it would not. Maybe? Maybe not.

Hamas. The aggressor, is no slouch either. They're smart and they know. They purposefully return with news and media of the damage on their end. They hide the presence of the hostages. They make themselves look like the victim. They use innocence as their shield. And like the weeds and the wheat, Israel chose to cut them down.

Somehow, you wonder why this is so. That the aggressor has become the victim.

In life. The devil is always devious. And humans always fail. God taught Israel, don't cut the wheat and the weeds together. Wait. For justice will come. Show love. But maybe they forgot. Yet, why does Hamas deserve protection? Why are they now forgotten and free from all blame? Why do the bystanders look on and just point fingers. Are they also doing the right thing?

This is the world today.

A world where many of us have forgotten what is important and the truths and teachings of old. Days muddled by various factions and groups of people.

This is not the only war that rages. Many of us have faced a similar warzone whether at home or at work. It's like a wife who kills an abusive husband in self defence and goes to jail. The father who decided to kill the kids in response to his depression from his wife abandoning the family. We wonder who will ultimately be saved . And jail is not the end. It is a reminder. This is very simply, Life.

May God save us.
