Lost.

Have you ever felt like you were trapped and left stranded. That people would write you off as taking the path they didn't.
Many would ask us to take the path they travelled.
Your parents, your teachers, your friends.
And where you may travel down a path less travelled, to many others, you might feel lost.
The trouble of our times is that everyone is walking down the same path that everyone else is on, and they call those on the right path "lost".
When Jesus came, he made a new path for us. Yet, who really follows the path that he took? Haven't many continued down the path the Sanhedrin, the Romans or others have taken? And yet they continue to throw scorn and those who followed Jesus path.
The churches today preach biblical brilliance leads to followship, that success is blessed by God, that money can empower the church, that climbing up rather than falling down gets you closer to Christ. They use humour and wit, and sometimes majority thinking blended with current affairs to justify their positions, but is this really Jesus' path? And many claim because they are with God, they must be right, but their paths are different from Jesus. Some claim imperfection as a reason for their path being different from Jesus and their path still made right. Some claim suffering is the way, or that suffering is not the way. Does either road lead to heaven? The failure of many leaders is that they still ask us to follow them. And without following them - they make us feel lost. But Jesus shows us something different, isn't it? Something different from even Paul. From John. From Moses. From Elijah. From Isaiah. That many of us follow the saints in taking a wrong path, because it is not our path to take. But we all at least took a wrong path in our lives at some point in time, and continue to take wrong paths through it all. Jesus was no leader, he was simply the way.
I know many people deem me lost... I know so. In my life, I've driven off that uncompleted bridge and fell into the endless pit. Everytime I stand against another, it is because I am out of step with the spirit. To them, it is an utterly disappointing turning point in my life story, that I seem to take pride in my own path. But it is my path I had to take. And may path takes me down a different road from theirs. And my path is leading me to a path for the lost, and sometimes not worth being found again. My path is full of flaws, twists, turns and u-turns, and at one point, it will lead me to my death. And to many, there's nothing to see after we disappeared off the cliff. Because we are also lost in their lives. and we are all lost in our own lives.
But don't feel lost, my friend.
If you feel lost in this world, perhaps you're on the right track.
If this world becomes your home, then with this world you shall stay. And the rest of us are lost to you. But in that state of being lost, I can assure you, that the first thing you found is yourself. And the second thing that you will find is that shepherd who will look for you, because you are still worth saving, even if not to everyone. But at least to one person that was also lost to the heavens.
When you lose everything in Christ, you will gain everything in Him.
