Forgiveness, Almost Never

Updated: Jun 24, 2023

Maybe not many people know this

But my mum was on a journey of forgiveness probably the last 30 years or more.

I know because she told me all of it.

The denial.

The tears.

The running away.

The anger.

The surrender.

Somehow maybe God allowed her to return home after she let it all down.

Maybe it took her the loss of a leg to put it down

The nights of suffering.

The time alone.

She did it, though.

She had a practice of forgiveness all through her life.

And at the end she put her greatest hurts down.

I wonder if it will be the same for me.

I hope my children don't suffer the same.
