CCS is not for carbon capture and storage here.
It's Corporate Culture and Sentiment
In the Corporate world...
There are hustlers who seek connection.
And there are hunters who seek deals.
There are the power hierarchies.
We seek warmth for agreement.
There are the Yes Men.
There is Group Think.
There is coaching to teach people in the ways of the world.
There is profit and purpose.
In the church...
There are hustlers who seek connection.
And there are hunters who seek opportunity.
There are the vines and branches.
We want warmth for acceptance.
There is zombie worship.
There are councils and committees.
There is discipleship, to follow different things of the church.
There is popularity and purpose.
These are but some of the many parallels. Sometimes the corporate feels like church. And sometimes the church feels like a company.
But, we hope
That in both the world and in church.
We slow down to have the connection.
We see the caress of the dolphins beyond the sharks that bite.
That Jesus is the only vine that truly nourishes us.
We are not warm, not cold, but hot for God.
We acknowledge only one truth.
We seek God's direction rather than each others
We follow Christ.
There is the grave, the cross and heaven.
Yet achieving it is fleeting.
People ask me through my life why I think so much.
I know why now.
I've been through trauma at a young age.
I've never let it go.
And each time the waves lap against my shore.
I am but a candle in the wind.
My flame is flickering.
But I'm holding on.
Even if I'm running short on fumes.
I don't want the hustle and bustle of the world nor of the wind. You know what makes a candle last longer?
