Blameless

We have chosen ....

Leaders for the next generation...

Leaders chosen for being blameless...

Blameless in the eyes of the leaders who chose them...

"Surely, these must be good people.

Give them the benefit of the doubt

At least they are willing to learn

Look how much they are already doing

They are at least, popular, smart, they hold good jobs, a good family person.

That criticism, well that's understandable"

Is anyone that blameless?

Do we all not hold some blame in this sinless world?

Did we not each contribute to a little bit of that pain, blood and tears Christ shorn on the cross?

Did we not hurt each other?

And if we are all blameful, then who shall lead?

The least of all blameful? The ones who get blamed less?

And if a person acknowledges that he is blameless, is that not a clearer warning sign that all the more he is blameful. That he does not know his own sin? Is this not the case? Rather, isn't he who bears his blame and acknowledges Christ even more blameless because his blame has been wiped clean?

Wouldn't the devil use this blame to drive stakes in the hearts of the faithful?

Is being blameless the answer to leadership? Just because we choose not to blame you, doesn't make one any more blameless.

And the day that we choose to, may God (and the world) have mercy on your soul.

This is our cruel humanity.

Keep your servant also from willful sins; may they not rule over me. Then I will be blameless, innocent of great transgression.

Bible - Psalm 19:13
